Tips for Buyers

Cost efficient transport is best achieved purchasing in quantities of:

  • 10 x 25kg = ¼ Pallet (250kg)
  • 20 x 25kg = ½ Pallet (500kg)
  • 40 x 25kg = Full Pallet (1000kg)
Make up the above quantities with a mix of loam, grass seed and fertiliser.

Ongar Loam is a heavy clay loam screened to 4mm. When rolled under the correct soil moisture conditions, Ongar Loam gives hard wickets of consistent pace and bounce. Adequately supplied with available nutrients for healthy grass growth. pH 7.9.

Ongar Loan has been used to construct test wickets at The Oval, Lords, Old Trafford, Edgbaston and Headingly as well as county wickets at Bristol, Taunton, Canterbury, Hove, Southampton, Chelmsford, Derby, Northampton, Cardiff, Scarborough and at Chester-Le-street.

The Binder cricket loam range also includes Super Surrey, K-Pitch, and Ongar Plus.
